The Court of Appeal of Québec is the highest court in the province. It has civil and criminal jurisdiction. As a general rule, the Court of Appeal does not hear witnesses. Its role is to hear appeals of decisions made by courts of first instance, like the Superior Court and the Court of Québec. Except for the rare cases that go all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada, the Court of Appeal is generally the final recourse for people involved in civil litigation.
A more detailed description of the Court of Appeal of Québec, as well as a virtual courtroom, will be offered on Côtécour at a later date. Éducaloi is presently looking for new financial partners to help complete Côtécour.
